probable mark of Anne Craig & John Neville, London 1744, plain, tapering sides engraved with the arms of DAVIES impaling ALO AP RHIWALLON, part marked piano hinged, stepped and domed cover topped with an urn shaped finial, capped brown handle 22cm high, 19.6oztProvenance:Wood Hall, Hilgay, NorfolkThe armorial appears to commemorate the marriage of an unidentified second son of the Davies family of North Wales and the northern and central Welsh marches and his wife, an unidentified daughter of another Welsh family who, from the evidence of her paternal arms, claimed descent from Alo ap Rhiwallon, of Trefnant, Denbighshire.An extensive search of printed pedigrees of the Davies family has not yet found a credible marriage at present, and therefore the full identity of the parties that are represented by these marital arms is not known.Overall in good condition with no obvious sign of damage or repair. Some minor surface scratches, dents and dings as to be expected. Hinge a little loose. Hallmarks and engraving a bit rubbed. Handle firm in the sockets but not a perfect fit - possibly therefore a replacement.
mark of Henry Chawner, London 1787, each of boat shaped form with beaded rim and two reeded scroll handles, the side with a bright cut engraved festoon edged circular cartouche engraved with the crest of ATKINSON, part marked friction fitting cover topped with an urn shaped finial and similarly crested, raised on a beaded edged pedestal foot, 24cm wide across the handles, 15cm high including the handles, 37.3ozt1 - Overall in fair to good condition. Some surface scratches and minor dents and dings as to be expected and commensurate with use. A very minor crease to the pedestal with a very small split, resulting in a minor wobble when standing on a flat surface. Minor crease to the edge of the cover with the result that the cover does not sit perfectly on the body. Hallmarks clear and crisp.2 - Overall in fair to good condition. Some surface scratches and minor dents and dings as to be expected and commensurate with use. A very minor crease to the pedestal with a very small split. Minor crease to the edge of the cover. Hallmarks clear and crisp.

A needlework sampler, 19th century, worked by Ann Priestly, the text "How fair is the rose what a beautiful flower, in summer so vibrant and gay. But the leaves are beginning to fade in an hour and they whither and die in a day" above two stags either side of a planted urn, with further animals, plants and birds below, all within a continuous floral border, framed and glazed, 62.5cm x 63.5cm overall (at fault)
A late 19th/early 20th century French champlevé and green onyx clock garniture, the 11cm gilt metal dial applied with Arabic numeral roundels, enclosing the twin train movement stamped 'Medaille D'Argent', striking on a coiled gong, with mercury compensated pendulum, within a four glass bevelled case, 34cm high, along with a pair of en-suite urn garnitures, 32cm high (3) CONDITION REPORT:All enamel appears to be intact showing no obvious losses, but showing fine surface wear commensurate with age throughout. All metal mounts appear to be securely attached, and showing minor rubbing to the gilt mounts commensurate with age. The front glass door to the clock face shows wear to the gilt finish of the frame and is hard to open. The rear glass door to the movement shows similar but lesser wear to the gilt finish of the frame, and opens easily. All the glass panels show minor surface wear commensurate with age, but appear clear and bright. The dial numerals show minor wear. The jade finial of the clock appears to be complete and original. The movement appears well maintained but is untested and therefore not guaranteed to be working.
A composite stone garden urn with swag decoration and twin handles, raised on a pedestal base, 55 cm diameter x 131 cm high CONDITION REPORTS The urn is weathered but basically sound with signs of some moss / lichen, particularly to the rim. Some discolouration throughout conducive with being outside / weathered generally. Height of urn alone 72 cm, height overall 130 cm x 56 cm diameter approx. at top. Please note different to catalogue measurements. See images for further detail.
A 19th Century Chinese rosewood urn stand, the rosso marble inlaid octagonal top with beaded edge over a pierced frieze with ornate prunus blossom decoration raised on four prunus blossom carved cabriole supports united by an X stretcher 40 cm diameter x 60 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Whilst the piece is basically sound throughout, there are some shrinkage areas to the top at the point of the joints very slightly. Some surface scratching to the marble. The frieze is intricately carved but has several areas of loss to one section of the frieze, just half of the bottom flower missing. The next section with area to the right of the bottom flower missing approx. 4 cm. The next with larger section missing approx. 10 cm wide. One section appears in fairly good order though with some wear. The legs appear to be in good condition though with some wear conducive with age and use, the cross stretchers appear to have some shrinkage/looseness at the joints - see images for further detail

The screw threads to these urns are not quite long enough to take all the elements and two socles are loose and attached with the lot. Some tarnishing.
