A Minton Majolica Jardiniere, circa 1870, of compressed urn form surmounted by two cherubs holding palm fronds over mask handles, on scroll support and quatrefoil base, impressed marks69cm highThe main bowl broken and restored with old over spray showing to the inside. The damage is detactable looking at the ouside with a crack running from one side of each mask and with further evidence of the repair to the underside fluted section. One handle has survived and the other broken through the puttis waist with the wreath to his left also repaired. Glaze crazing throughout.
