A pair of late 19th century Meissen figures depicting a gent leaning on a spade beside a watering can holding a spray of flowers in his right hand and his female companion holding a basket of flowers under her arm, both in elaborately decorated costumes, both with crossed swords mark to base, incised numbers, also with red painted numerals 10, height 19cm. CONDITION REPORT: Gent: there is a slight odd texture to his hat and the gilding around the rim which probably indicates very good restoration to his hat, tiny losses to the leaves of the spray of flowers in his right hand, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration. Female: missing spray hof flowers in her left hand, tiny losses to the leaves and roses around the back of her urn and also has a 1cm firing crack to the Greek key decorated base, slightly misfinished above the urn around the back of the figure otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A 19th century Derby porcelain urn shaped vase painted with floral sprays, height 18.5cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: Presumably this previously had handles but they were broken off at some stage and been repaired. There appears to be further restoration elsewhere and the marks are slightly rubbed. Has the Derby mark to the base.
