A French Sevres style porcelain and gilt metal mounted clock garniture, Japy Freres, late 19th century, the eight-day gong striking movement with stamped roundel and serial numbered 22130 to backplate, the enamelled Roman numeral dial with bird and foliate decoration, the case surmounted by an urn, and with conforming serial number, 31cm high, and a pair of conforming pedestal urns, each 20.5cm high (3) Provenance: Property from a Private CollectionCondition Report: Has pendulum and keyOne of the feet to the clock case is a replacement. - this is similar in pattern but shorter in height and 'made up' with a thick footpad. it is one rear leg. Case with marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use the case with some wear and some pitting and discolourationDreweatts cannot make any guarantees it is in working order or give any comments as to accuracy of time keeping. We recommend getting the clock appraised and cleaned/overhauled by a professional restorer prior to use. Two similar pairs of silvered metal twin light wall sconces in William & Mary taste, early 20th century, the cartouche backplates cast with gryphon masks and foliage below central flaming urn finials flanked by cherubs, issuing knopped scroll branches, 32cm high, 26cm wide, 20cm protuberanceCondition Report: These lights each bear the usual minor marks, knocks and scuffs overall consistent with age and use, and there are some irregularities to the casting of the arms though this is due to manufacture.There is some slight wear to the silver plating, and there is some lacquer or polish residue to the rear and recesses.One or two of the candle branch fitments have been strengthened with bolts to the rear, though this is not visible from the front.The underlying metal may be brass though it is quite impossible to tell as the backs bear a light coloured wash. These lights are internally wired and the fitments at present firmly attached, though with (perhaps professional) attention the light fitments could possibly be removed. Some evidence of old worm to legs. Bed is currently disassembled and may requires some adjustments and securing when re-assembled before being used.
