Ex Christopher Hogwood - Single-manual harpsichord by Thomas Culliford for Longman & Broderip, London, 1782, the case of mahogany with boxwood stringing, the lid with brass strap hinges, the key well veneered with panels of burr walnut with boxwood stringing and kingwood crossbanding, the fascia board extensively inlaid with scrolling foliage and a central urn, the soundboard with inset gilt-metal rose pierced and carved with King David playing the harp and with the pierced inscription Longman & Broderip Cheapside, the five octave keyboard, FF to f3 omitting FF sharp, with ivory naturals with boxwood mouldings and ebony accidentals, seven brass-knobbed hand stops with ivory caps inscribed with their function, six controlling the harp stop, 8ft lute stop, two 8ft stops, a 4ft stop and a 'mute' (dummy) stop, the seventh in the left cheek controlling the machine stop together with the left-hand pedal, the right-hand pedal controlling a swell mechanism operating on a secondary internal lid, with music desk, on trestle stand, with canvas cover. Inscribed on a boxwood plaque on the name batten Longman and Broderip, Musical Instrument Makers 26 Cheapside London and on the reverse of the name batten Thos. Culliford, Maker, 3 Fountain Court, Cheapside, London, February 1782. Length 7' 2?", 219.3cm; width 3' 3?", 100.9cm This instrument is one of only three known to have been made by Culliford with both a machine stop and a lid swell, one of the others being in The Mobbs Keyboard Collection, Golden Bay, New Zealand. The current location of the other one is not recorded. Culliford was the great-grandfather of the author Charles Dickens. An early George III pierced silver swing handle sweetmeat basket maker's mark rubbed, London 1761, of shallow circular form, with beaded borders and hoop handle, pierced with floral and foliate urn decoration, 5¾in. (14.5cm.) diameter, weight 7.3 tr.oz. Condition: Marks to underside of base - maker's mark rubbed and not legible - other marks slightly rubbed but clear. Otherwise in very good condition, with no defects noted.
A Continental porcelain tête-a-tête cabaret set 20th century, comprising 15in. circular tray with pierced handles, two cups and saucers, urn form coffee pot, twin handled sucrier and milk jug, all with floral swag decoration to bodies and foliate design to borders. (8) Condition: In very good condition, with no damage or restoration noted.

(2) Condition: All in good condition - marks slightly rubbed but clearly legible.
A fine mid-Victorian figured walnut piano top Davenport with a serpentine slope front and well fitted sliding interior, the rise and fall superstructure above with urn and garland marquetry, the panelled base section with carved foliate decoration, four drawers to the right side behind a panelled door and a conforming door to the opposing side concealing two open shelves (later converted), 27in. (85 x 48cm.), 28¾in. (73cm.) high.
An 18th century Dutch marquetry and walnut bombe form chest of small proportions, the serpentine top decorated with birds above flowers issuing from a central urn, conforming decoration to sides and front, the three long graduated drawers with original gilt brasses, over a shaped apron, on carved foliate paw feet, 35 x 20in. (89 x 51cm.), 32¼in. (82cm.) high.
A French Louis XV style boulle marquetry and ebonised centre table 19th century, the serpentine top with boulle maiden in a chariot atop an urn, amidst extensive foliate scrollwork and within an ormolu shell, scroll and foliate border with foliate cartouche corner mounts, over a conforming boulle frieze with single drawer centred by an ormolu mask, on angular cabriole supports with ormolu mask and cabochon mounts and paw sabots, 56 x 30¾in. (142 x 78cm.), 30¼in. (77cm.) high, boulle marquetry a/f.
An Edwardian rosewood and marquetry centre table the incuse rectangular top centred with a foliate marquetry oval, over an urn and foliate scrollwork marquetry frieze, raised on square tapered supports united by a serpentine x-stretcher, with brass and china casters, 18¼ x 30in. (46.5 x 76cm.), 28½in. (72.5cm.) high.
Three 17th century tapestry panels the larger depicting two cherubs standing upon dragons and holding swags, above a floral urn surmounted by a parrot, flanked by two more urns with fruit and flowers amidst extensive foliage, 60 x 18in. (152.5 x 45.5cm.), the two smaller panels depicting flowers in a twin handled urn, 25 x 13½in. (63.5 x 33.5cm.), some repairs. (3)
A 19th century bronze and ormolu candlestick possibly Russian, the urn form nozzle with removable drip pan, on a tapering stem with ormolu mounts terminating in three ormolu paw feet, the circular base with cast anthemion and floral border and three butterfly mounts, 12.5in. (32cm.) high. Condition: In good, original condition overall. No repairs or restoration. Not overpolished or overcleaned. Some wear to gilt on edges and raised detail overall. Small area of loss to patinated finish on plain bronze area of base (possibly caused by a sticker being left there at some stage). Three very small dents to edge of sconce, 10mm piece of appliedmount to stem missing.
An Ivory Bris fan early 19th century, a finely pierced and fretworked fan, when extended reveals three oval reserves with urn and bird decoration, twenty eight sticks between two carved and pierced stick guards of elongated tapering oval form, 10in. (25.3cm.) long; together with two carved ivory fan holders, 19th century, carved in the Dieppe manner, tri- sectional, 7½in. (19.2cm.) long. (3). Condition: Damage to top of thirteenth stick, tip damage to twenty eightth stick.

The sauce boat has a rim nick. Two of the platters have stains. The service's matching suace ladle has been restored
