An inlaid mahogany longcase clock by Joseph Heckstetter of London, the 12ins arched brass dial with wide silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, the matted dial centre with subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture and turned winding holes, and with strike/silent dial to arch, to the eight day two train five pillar movement striking on a bell, and with additional chiming mechanism on eight bells, contained in associated mahogany case, later inalid with Neo-classical style urn and leaf scroll and floral ornament, the hood with swept top and three turned finials and turned, fluted and brass stopped columns to hood, shaped trunk door flanked by fluted and brass stopped quarter columns, the base with raised astragal moulded panel and on double plith base, 98ins high, (including finials), (movement with added arch and adapted arch, in associated case, later inlaid) Note: Joseph Heckstetter recorded as apprenticed 1687, clockmaker in London 1694-1704
A late George III mahogany mantel clock by Sargent, Jermyn Street, London, the 8ins arched painted metal dial with Roman numerals and with strike/silent and pendulum regulation dials to arch, to the eight day three train movement striking and quarter chiming on nine bells, contained in figured mahogany and brass mounted case, the cresting of swept form surmounted by turned brass urn and with brass scale pattern panels to sides, four further smaller brass urn finials, moulded cornice and brass stopped fluted quarter columns, the side panels with fretted brass scale pattern grills and moulded base with brass ogee bracket feet, 27ins high Note: Joseph Sargent is recorded working in German Street, London from 1794-1820, he was watchmaker to The Princess of Wales Provenance: Campbell & Archard Ltd. An early 19th Century French gilt brass cased lyre pattern mantel timepiece, the 3.75ins diameter white enamelled chapter ring with Arabic numerals, to the eight day single train movement with silk suspension, the whole supported in gilt metal lyre pattern casing, two-handled flaming urn to crest and with acanthus leaves, fruiting baskets and ribbon swags, on twin rectangular gilt brass supports and rectangular white marble plinth base with gilt brass bead ornament, 16.5ins high, complete with rosewood rectangular plinth base and rectangular glass dome for same, 19.25ins high, (dome cracked to one side) Provenance: Campbell & Archard Ltd. A Large 18th Century French Carved Oak Armoire Corps Deux. The upper & lower cupboards having moulded panel doors boldly carved with satyr face masks and cameo portraits in quatrefoil cartouches with a pair of carved frieze drawers in between. The integral corner columns entwined in carved ivy with urn finial terminals surmounted by winged cherub heads to the top and lion heads below. The moulded base on lion paw feet 78 ins (198 cms) high, 60½ ins (154 cms) wide, 25 ins (63.5 cms) deep.
An Early 19th Century Brass Chandelier. The eight S-scroll branches with profiled green man terminals poking out their tongues, and bearing broad dished drip pans centred by urn shaped candle cups. The tenons pegging into a knopped central stem below a disc of four slot-on merman ornaments and a twin headed eagle surmount with detachable wings. The large globe pendant with hanging ring, approx 34 ins (86 cms) in length, 40 ins (102 cms) wide.
A PAIR OF GEORGE III SILVER CANDLESTICKS, Sheffield 1791, maker's mark of John Parsons & Co, the urn shaped sockets fitted with detachable sconces with maker's mark of John Green, Roberts, Mosley & Co, over octagonal tapering columns, raised on spreading circular base (weighted), the entire decorated with bright cut engraving.
