A French gilt metal three piece mantel clock garniture with Sevres style mounts, late 19th / early 20th century, with eight day Japy Freres movement, no. 8158, striking the hour and half hour on a gong, the Arabic white and pink painted porcelain dial with central reserve depicting houses beside a river, signed for the retailer, 'Bachmann Co. Guernsey' and 'Made in Paris', in an ornate Baroque style case with torch, quiver and wreath ornament, central Watteauesque porcelain panel, porcelain columns and a porcelain mounted urn surmount, raised on four paw feet, with a pair of conforming urns with similar porcelain mounts depicting courting couples, the clock 16¼in. (41.25cm.) high, all on original giltwood and velvet serpentine bases with bun feet. (6)
A 19th century French tortoiseshell boullework mantel clock and stand, in the Louis XVI taste, the red tortoiseshell veneered case with all over brass foliage and scrollwork, with ormolu mounts, feet and floral urn finial, the pendulum window with chequered floor, engraved gilt brass dial with French enamel Roman numerals, sunburst mask pendulum, twin train Japy Freres movement striking a bell on the hour and half hour, #491 4 11, 14½in. (37.75cm.) high, on conforming serpentine boulle work stand. (2)

A 19th century Dutch marquetry fold over card table, the swivelling top with inlay of a central urn flanked by two birds, flowers and foliage, opening to reveal the baize lined surface surrounded by meandering inlay of flowers and leaves above the oak lined well, standing on four square tapered and inlaid legs.
A 19th century William & Mary style walnut, floral marquetry and parcel gilt centre table The rectangular moulded edge top decorated with a floral filled classical urn and floral marquetry spandrels to each corner, above a pair of frieze drawers, on spiral turned legs and acanthus carved terminus joined by a wavy marquetry flattened stretcher on acanthus scroll feet, 120cm wide, 87cm deep, 81cm high.
A George III paktong and burnished steel fire-grate in the manner of Robert Adam The rectangular cast iron back plate with bowed basket and three crossbars surmounted by turned urn finials, above pierced scrolling leaf engraved apron flanked by ring turned legs, with urn finials, on bracket feet, 64cm wide, 26cm deep, 74cm high. The design for this fire-grate can be closely compared with an engraving in W.Glossop,The Stove-Grate Makers Assistant, published by I.Taylor in 1771, fig 43 (see C.Gilbert & A.Wells-Cole, The Fashionable Fire Place 1660-1840, p.56). With similarities to late George II Scottish steel fire-grates by David Robertson circa 1760 supplied for Dumfries House, Ayrshire (see Christie's, Dumfries House, 12 July 2007, lots 16, 59 & 580). See also Christie's, London, 21 January 2010, lot 47 for another of related form.
An 18th Century English Silver hilted hunting hanger, 55.5cm sawbacked blade, the hallmarked silver hilt with downturned shell guard cast with a large urn of fruit flanked by two naked female forms, the crossguard, D-shaped knuckle bow and pommel cap also cast with fruit filled urns, panelled tortoiseshell grip very finely engraved with scrolling foliage and crowns, possibly inlaid with very very fine silver wire, contained in its white metal mounted tooled leather scabbard. Chape replaced. The hallmark, on the knuckle bow, appears to be for London 1730.
A Victorian Royal Navy Officer's sword, 78.5cm blade with traces of etched decoration, patinated, regulation copper gilt hilt with folding side guard, lion's head pommel, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its engraved copper gilt mounted scabbard, complete with knot and one hanging strap, together with a 1796 Pattern Infantry Officer's sword, 81cm blade with traces of etched decoration, regulation gilt hilt with urn-shaped pommel, copper wire bound grip, contained in an associated naval scabbard. A 19th Century cut steel hilted smallsword by Firmin, 75.5cm incurved triangular section bright blade etched with scrolling foliage and stands of arms along two-thirds of its length, characteristic steel hilt, the shell guard pierced and chiselled with stylised suns and set with faceted studs, faceted grip and urn-shaped pommel also profusely set with faceted studs, chain guard, contained in its steel mounted velum scabbard, the upper mount numbered 35 and engraved FIRMIN SWORD CUTLER 153 STRAND LONDON, central mount lacking.
