A near pair of 19th century Derby urns, campana form, one painted with a still life flowers the other fruit, both with Derby mark. Tallest 20 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The urn with the fruit has rubbing to the gilding on the top lip and there is a small chip which has been reglued on this top rim. The gilding to the piece is generally rubbed particularly on the proud parts. The painted fruit panel has four small paint losses. The gilding to the left hand handle is badly rubbed. There are also losses to the gilding on the base but no significant damage to the urn. The still life urn is in generally much better condition. There is one tiny nibble to the top rim. The painted panel is in very good condition and better painted than the other urn. The gilding is generally in good condition including both handles. The base is in good order.
A set of two carver and eight single mahogany Hepplewhite style dining chairs, Edwardian, with foliate and urn carved shield shaped backs, stuffover seats and raised on tapered legs of square section terminating in spade feet. CONDITION REPORT: Both armchairs are in good structural condition with no repairs and no restoration. They are generally tight at the joints with no significant movement. Seven of the eight single chairs are also structurally very sound with no repairs and no restoration. There are minor scuffs and nibbles to the edges of the front legs but no significant issues.
