An Italian silver sugar urn and cover, Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, Naples, 1808-23 .834 standard (also has 1824-32 2nd standard marks), with an acorn finial to the dome centred pull-off cover, engraved with a band of stiff leaves, the semi ovoid base with a trellis band, on three female mask headed paw supports, 18.5cm (7 1/4in) high, 347g (11.15 oz)
A silver canted-square columnar candlestick by Barker Ellis Silver Co., Birmingham 1986, the circular detachable scone with a stiff leaf border, husk swags to the urn shape capital, the cluster column stem headed by goat heads, the spreading base with swags, patera and urns, 31cm (12 1/2in) high, loaded
A large cast iron garden urn on stand, having a beaded edge above a square waisted body with scrolling foliate decoration and twin mask handles, all upon a fluted stem with square base in turn above a rectangular plinth. Height 138 cm, 57 cm diameter (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The height of the urn and stand is actually 138 cm. The diameter of the urn is correct at 57 cm. The urn itself is in generally very good condition with the exception of being somewhat rusty. The middle section of the base whilst structurally sound has a loss of approximately 4 cm in length and between 1/2 cm and 1 cm in depth along the top left-hand edge. There is also further rusting to the top of this second section which is not visible when the urn is in situ. The lower section of the base is in good order all around other than surface rust.
A set of three large composition stoneware garden urns, 20th century, with wide everted rim above the squat gadrooned body with foliate scroll handles supported upon moulded knop bases and square sectional pedestals. Each length +/- 135 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The urns and stands are made from some form of what we would have thought is a sand and cement mixture made to simulate sandstone. Whilst they are all structurally sound they do have varying degrees of damage. One urn is in worse condition than the other two. The material is beginning to perish in places and the top lip is a little crumbly as are some of the proud parts of the urn itself and in particular the top of the base pedestal. The urn was in a particularly damp place which probably explains this deterioration of the base in particular. The other two urns are far less crumbly. They both are far better defined around the lobes and handles. The base of one does have a vertical crack to the centre recessed square shaped section on one side. It is not possible to list every defect but our images should provide the information that you require.
