:AN 18-BORE DOUBLE-BARRELLED FLINTLOCK SPORTING GUN BY BLAIR AND SUTHERLANDS, LONDON, early 19th century, reconverted from percussion, with 31 1/8in. twist barrels signed in full on the rib, silver fore-sight, patent breeches each inlaid with three gold lines, foliate engraved grooved tang, lightly engraved signed locks each with 'French' cock, rainproof pan and roller, figured walnut half-stock (repaired below left lock and on fore-end) with chequered grip and raised cheek-piece, iron mounts including scrolled trigger-guard engraved with a stag on the bow and trigger-plate with an urn and pineapple finial, engraved silver ramrod-entry pipe, silver escutcheons, and later brass-mounted ramrod.
