An Antique Chinese Translucent Jade Urn, the urn of baluster form having ornately carved phoenixes in flight to either side, with feather form carved frieze below. The carved ribbed spread foot with four carved scroll decoration on an integral circular plinth. The urn crafted in three sections, the splayed neck 15 cms (6") diameter carved with two friezes of feather form design, the second being the shoulder having stepped rim with carved geometric design and double frieze of feather form below in shallow relief with two reclining phoenixes with carved loose chains and drops of twin carved birds to either side, 58 cms (23") circumference. C. 1825. 51 x 117 x 221cm. CONDITION REPORT: Overall good condition commensurate with age, may have been restored in the past, displaying general scuffs and marks commensurate with wear. Side moulding detached but extant.
