GEORGE III STERLING TEA URN BY WAKELIN & GARRARD, LONDON, 1799-1800, H 13", W 8": A tea urn with scroll form handles, wooden spigot and fan shape details about the base. Stamped hallmarks on the outer back rim include the lion passant, crowned leopard head, maker's mark for J. Wakelin and Robert Garrard, and a duty mark denoting the year 1799. Weighs approximately 34.5 troy oz.

A late 18th/early 19th Century oak longcase clock, signed Robert Webster Salop With an 18cm brass dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, with cast urn and leafy spandrels, the single train 30 hour movement with outside count wheel striking on a saucer bell, the case with a caddy top above a fretwork leaf carved frieze, above brass capped fluted columns, the slender trunk with a mahogany crossbanded door flanked by fluted quarter columns, raised on plinth base and bracket feet, 205x46cm, with one weight and a pendulum. CONDITION REPORT: Rob Webster Salop the case, raised top and cornice and good condition, carved blind fret frieze good condition, brass capped columns firm, hinge sound, original glass, some surface scratching to the central roundel of the dial not polished, original hands, crosshanded door not warped, however traces of worm to the lower section running in a narrow line, plinth generally faded, original elm back board, replaced lower section of back board some traces of worm in the original section with original glueing blocks, old seat board possibly original ?, provenance private estate
An early 19th Century inlaid mahogany longcase clock signed Butler Bolton With a 36cm white dial with subsidiary date dial and lunar calendar, painted with a figure by a tower, the central roundel decorated with bullfinches perched amongst branches, flower and leafy spandrels, the two train eight day movement with anchor escapement, rack striking on a bell, the case with a swan neck cresting, eagle and sphere finials above a glazed and gilt decorated frieze, fluted columns, the slender crossbanded trunk door with well figured wood embraced by fluted columns, raised on a plinth base with two weights, pendulum and winding key, 232cm, 55cm width of plinth. (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Lot 2245: Swan neck cornice minor bruise to the left hand upright, central brass vase possibly later damaged urn to left hand side beneath the eagle, some discolouration to the right hand eagle finial, the frieze painted possibly original, hinged door hinges in good condition, the dial the outer calendar numerals Roman and Arabic possibly repainted, very bright and good condition for age, the trunk door no signs of warping, very good feathered colour, hinge good condition, plinth good condition, very good veneer, supporting shape plinth possibly replaced, the back original back board with blocks, original foot board, mechanism working but not been running recently, provenance private vendor.
An early 18th Century oak and crossbanded longcase clock signed J Baddely Albrighton With a 28cm brass dial with date aperture, Roman and Arabic numerals, cast urn and leafy spandrels, the single train 30 hour movement with outside count wheel, striking on a saucer bell, the case with a cavetto cornice above a blind fret carved frieze, brass capped fluted columns, the slender crossbanded trunk with well figured wood, raised on plinth base, with one weight, 196cm, width of plinth 43cm. (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Baddely clock- cornice original, side moulding missing, loose requires re-gluing, blind fret carved frieze good condition, original putty and glazed door, hinges sound, central dial polished, chaptering very bright, long door not warped, original hinges, crossbanded mahogany veneer left hand side large piece missing approx 5x8cms, and a piece of shaped moulding measures 18cms, plinth piece of moulding missing to the right hand angle triangular section approx. 3x1cms, original seat board, original full length back boards, shrinkage crack to right hand side above the plinth measures approx. 46cms but no space between, provenance unknown.
An Edwardian inlaid mahogany longcase clock With a 30cm arched brass dial with Arabic and Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, cast gilt metal winged cherub and C scroll spandrels with a chime silent in the arch flanked by dolphin spandrels, the three train eight day movement with anchor escapement striking on eight bells and a gong, the case with a swan neck cresting flanking an urn finial above fluted Corinthian columns, the trunk with a long door above a panelled plinth base, overall inlaid with satinwood crossbanding, ebony and boxwood line inlays raised upon shaped bracket feet, 239cms high x 52cms with the base, with three weights, pendulum and door key.
A 19th Century mahogany elbow chair, after a design by Pugin possibly by Gillows With urn shape terminals above three shaped horizontal splats, downswept arms, padded and button seat raised upon down swept scrolling legs joined by a cross stretcher. 80cms high x 55cms. (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Lot 2337: Solid mahogany, each turned large finial good condition, each of the three horizontal splats good condition, down swept arms, right hand side repair old break just above the joint and old repair beneath which joints to the C shaped seat support. Joint slightly proud on the left hand side where it supports the upright, similar break and restoration on the left hand side, the top of the out swept C support to the cushion seat, surface scratching overall, X stretcher good condition, no stamps or marks, generally in good condition, seat average condition. No provenance.
