A Pair of 18th Century French Flintlock Side-by-Side Double Barrel Holster Pistols by Marcher?, Paris, each with later blued 24cm barrels, signed lock plates, walnut full stock with foliate carving to the fore-end, with silver ramrod pipes, foliate chased trigger guard with urn finial, spurred butt caps, the pommel chased with the head of a Sun God, the silver crowned escutcheon engraved with a crest and flanked by birds and with silver wire tendrils, with wood ramrod. Both actions work, holding at full and half cock. Later blueing to the barrels. Minor pitting to the lock plates and hammers. One with a repaired hammer, three areas of cracking to the underside of the stock. The other with a V crack running across the underside of the stock between the trigger guard finial and the ramrod. The fore ramrod pipe is loose.
