A collection of Chinese wares to include lidded urn, double gourd shaped lidded vases with prunus decoration, various baluster shaped vases with prunus decoration and floral and bird decoration, signed to bases, lidded pot of squat form, bearing four character mark to base, ginger jar with landscape decoration, vase with famille rose palette, a Japanese satsuma vase and two Chinese blue and white decorated plates CONDITION REPORTS Double gourd vase - lid is broken to the inside the vase has various fire faults measures 315 cm high is dirty, similar vase the lid has been broke into many pieces and glued badly, has various firing faults all over to include L shaped damage to the glaze at the top and a repainted chip to base measure approx 31.5 cm. Small double gourd vase - lid broken to inside and finial has been off and badly glued - approx 26 cm high. Baluster vases - one has a large section missing from rim .The prunus decorated vase - has rough/chips to top edge and a hairline crack running down the body and various knife marks to glaze. Modern baluster vase has some small paint marks to the outside. Size of first vase 23.5cm , 2nd 27cm and 3rd 23 cm. Lidded top of squat form - lid does not fit perfectly 14 cm. Ginger jar - crazing all over and a hairline crack / fire fault to base 13 cm height, Samuel Rose palette has a large piece missing from the rim and a another small piece missing resulting to hairline crack, just up from the base there is a circular mark all the way around the vase and there are several chips to the enamel decoration and hole vase feel surprising heavy approx 25 cm. Satsuma vase has some chipping to rim and crazing all over as well as loss of gilding to the decoration and paint work. approx 15cm. Both dishes have chips to the rim one resulting in a hairline crack both have knife mark and measure approx 3.5cm in height. All piece have various pin head firing faults etc and have general wear conducive to age and use with scratches, small knocks etc.
