A GEORGE III SILVER TEA CADDY mark of Benjamin Mountigue overstriking, London 1780, oval, the flat hinged cover with urn-form finial, engraved with floral swags between scroll borders, the front engraved with initials within an oval cartouche. 11cm high, 12cm wide, 12.6 troy ouncesThe marks on the underside are clear. Dent to the edge of the base. The pinned finial is a little loose. Some bruises and surface wear. The hinge is in good condition, and the cover closes neatly. Lacking lock and key.
A GEORGE I BRITANNIA STANDARD SILVER COFFEE POT by Richard Bayley, London 1719, of tapering octagonal form, the conforming hinged domed cover with urn-form finial, fruitwood scroll-form handle pinned into sockets opposed by a faceted scroll-form spout. 23cm high, 20.4 troy ounces A little rubbing to the marks but legible. The hinge is in good order, and the cover closes well. The cover with the lion's head erased. Possible erasure to one side. Stands upright. In generally good condition commensurate with age.

Two early 19th century fob seals, for the Wray family, the first gilt example inset with carnelian and engraved with an achievement of arms, the second gold mounted, of urn shape, with chased acorn border, the chalcedony engraved with crest of an ostrich, with motto ‘Et juste et vray’ (Both just and true), together with a gilt metal small fob seal, modelled as a bird, the onyx plaque engraved with an ear and eye with indistinct motto, lengths 27, 35 and 22mm. (3) £200-£300 --- Provenance: The first two seals bear the crest and arms for the WRAY family, of Glentworth and Kelfield, Lincolnshire. See: Fairbairn’s Book of Crests, 1905 ed. plate 64, crest No 3. Condition Report First seal: soldered repair to one ‘foot’; chip to top corner, just touching the engraving. Weight 20.5 Second seal: good condition. Third seal: fine scratches to the hardstone surface.
