A 19th century Vienna gilt metal and enamel charger in the manner of Hermann Ratzendorfer, of shaped circular form, the centre panel decorated with a gathering of the gods, enclosed within two rows of twelve panels with further subjects and figures of Greek mythology, each panel titled to the reverse, the cagework mounts with applied Egyptianesque mask, swan and urn ornament with dividing bands of mask and scroll trellis decoration, 56cm. diameter, contained in its original octagonal leather covered fitted case.
