The Lord of the Rings - Moria ceramic urn. Provenance: The vendor owned an event planning company in the early 1990s until 2008. They organised the Lord of the Rings Cannes Press Festival in 2001. New Line chairman Bob Shaye and Dir. P. Jackson presented 25 minutes of footage from the film, which featured a montage introducing key characters, as well as a 14-minute excerpt of a chase sequence in the Mines of Moria and previews of the second and third installments of the trilogy, due in December 2002 and 2003, respectively. The event culminated in a party that was held at the Chateau de Castellaras near the town of Mougins, where they reconstructed a lot of the sets and displayed set dressings and props from the actual movies (flown in especially from New Zealand). After the event, everything was deconstructed and sent back to NZ but the vendors got the permission to keep these few items as a gift.
