A Rare Silk Souf Kashan Prayer Rug The pale corn field centred by an urn issuing flowers surrounded by further urns, flowering plants and birds beneath a cusped Mihrab flanked by indigo spandrels enclosed by floral borders and double guard stripes, 202cm by 131cm NB Woven on silk Ends - Top web and (purple) braiding are complete, however some of the fringes are reduced. Lower web is virtually complete although there is some fraying - the purple/breen braiding tis wearing and incomplete. Some fringes are duced. The yellow (flatweave) found is soft. The pile areas are in good condition although there are areas of slight wear. Selvedges are original and complete. 120615

An Ormolu and Sevres Style Striking Mantel Clock, retailed by Levy Freres A Paris, circa 1880, urn shaped dark blue porcelain case flanked by classical figures leaning holding a book and lyre, base with porcelain panels and raised upon scroll feet, 3-1/4-inch enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, twin barrel movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, backplate signed and numbered 362, 54cm high 09.06.15, Case with some loose mounts, left hand side handle of the urn with a small piece of metal missing, metal mount branch going across the top of the back door is broken and signs of glue, porcelain urn with signs of an old touching up repair to the back, base with small chips to the panels and a small crack, dial with hairline cracks and small chips at 2 and 6 o'clock positions, movement is complete.
