A 19th century Irish urnCondition Report: There is a small area of very minor rim fritting to the lip of the bowl. To the inside of the bowl there is a 2cm mouth-shaped piece which has been ground away - indicating previous damage. original air bubbles are visible in the lower urn-shaped section, the square-shaped plinth base has the pontil ground quite a way from the centre and exhibits scratches commensurate with age and in one corner has sustained a chip. One of the other corners also sustained a slight chip and has been ground away. The cover also slight rim fritting to the inside of the lip although appears to be in reasonably good condition otherwise. The faceted tip of the finial may have also sustained minor damage. The piece is not perfect

A French Sevres style porcelain and gilt metal mantel clock, combining associated late 19th century elements, with eight-day bell striking movement stamped to the backplate for the SCHERER, PARIS, and serial numbered 6708, with white enamel Roman numeral dial escribed SCHERER to the centre, in a case with urn and pineapple pattern finials above panels decorated with cherubs and birds the case with stamped serial number 6084, 38cm high overall Condition Report: The case with marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, the finial to the urn is a replacement, the surface with losses to the gilt - the gilt a different tone to the remainder of the case. the gilt to the main body of the case with some wear and pitting to surface. The feet also appear to be later associated to the clock overall. The dial with cracks and splits, and crazing. The ceramic panels with wear and losses to the gilt surfaces and decoration. No serious damage noted to the ceramic panels. No glass to the bezel and nothing to the rear to protect the movement. With an associated key, and the pendulum likewise associated - the serial number to this (1051) not matching any other elements. The interior of the bell with written inscriptions. Dreweatts have not tested the movement nor can we give any guarantees to being working order or make any comments as to longevity. A garniture of three English blue-ground porcelain vasescirca 1820of urn form, painted with panels of flowers within gilded borders, pattern number 1053 in puce, 14cm and 16cm high(3)Condition report: Condition overall is good with no signs of any cracks, chips, damages or repairs. There are some light patches of wear to the gilding throughout, though not disfiguring. The painted panels are generally also in good condition with little to no surface rubbing and no obvious scratches. One of the smaller pair of vases has a horizontal surface scratch which is visible to the foot rim, approximately 2.5cm long. Maker is unattributed.

Continental School (19th century) Still life of Roses, Carnations and Honeysuckle arranged in a gadrooned vase on a stone ledge Indistinctly signed, oil on canvas, 72.5cm by 60cm See illustration . In fully restored condition. Rather stiffly re-lined, cleaned and re-varnished. The surface is somewhat flattened by the restoration process. Much of the background has been fairly comprehensively retouched and overpainted with a possible other phase of more delicate restoration to old flaked paint. There is a linear area of overpainting just left of the far left hand side white blossom which is approx 3 cm in length. The indistinct signature maybe strengthened or added. The upper section of the urn also appears to have been overpainted as have elements of the foot and general decoration applied to the vase. Whilst a large degree of the left hand side of the ledge has been strengthened/overpainted, the far right third displays retouching more in line with pronounced crazing, whilst some of the general outlining of the flowers and shadows of central parts definitions etc.., appear to have received some general restoration. The degree of intervention compared to the background is seemingly less systematic. Varying sized stable craquelure throughout. The paint is thin/abraded in areas. Manner of Jean-Baptiste Monnoyer (1636-1699) French Still life of flowers including Iris, Tulips, Roses and Poppies arranged in a metal urn on a ledge Oil on canvas, 66.5cm by 51cm See illustration . In fully restored condition. Somewhat stiffly re-lined, cleaned and re-varnished. The general surface of the canvas and brushwork has been flattened by the restoration process. There is mild evidence of overpainting and retouching within the background in general. A diagonal line of retouching is apparent approx 12 cm down from upper right hand corner and is approx. 3-4 cm in length. Further mild evidence of strengthening and retouching to elements of blooms, such as the upper part of the chrysanthemum left and above centre, parts of the variegation of the Tulips on the right hand side, shadows of the Rose lower right, larger parts of the burgundy blooms resting on the ledge, general shadowing amongst the flowers, the dark markings of the butterfly etc... Surface dirt and discoloured varnish. Some minor surface scuffs/abrasions alongside right hand edge lower half and odd further scuff amongst the floral arrangement and elsewhere. Canvas slightly loose in frame with some abrasions to edges in general as a result etc...

A French Louis XVI style brass inlaid card/writing table, late 19th century, the hinged lid inlaid with acanthus scrolls around an urn enclosing a red baize lined interior with sliding mechanism and drawer with pivoting writing surface enclosing a bevelled glass mirror and fitted interior, on fluted tapering legs with brass capped toes, 70cm by 44cm by 73cm . Top section with some scratches and water marks? Interior felt baize good. Some minor scuffs and scratches around timber. Gilt leather trim around the baize writing surface worn. Good quality interior. Brasswork slightly loose on front right leg. 120220
A Victorian Garnet and Chrysoberyl Brooch, three oval cut garnets and six oval cut chrysoberyl in yellow claw settings, to a ribbon bow cartouche frame with festoon brazilian linked chains and two further drops with urn shaped terminations, length 7.6cm, with fitted case see illustration . The brooch is in fair condition. It fastens with a pin and hook catch and features a safety chain. It bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gold. Gross weight 15.29 grams. A George III Irish mahogany long case clock, the brass break arch dial with sea serpent and urn spandrels, silver chapter ring bearing Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, eight day two train movement with bell strike, the break arch hood surmounted with an urn and eagle, with fluted columns, the case trunk of plain form, raised on a plinth base, with pendulum and key, 244cm high.
An early 19th century giltwood and gesso wall mirror, tear drop shaped with urn, flower and bell husk crest over a foliate bordered plate, W.1ft 10in. H.3ft 9in.CONDITION: Overall in slightly neglected condition with the flower spray and swags dropping down from the urn, all slightly bent out of place and no doubt with some old restorations, stem of the urn looks broken and has been repaired at some point but could be improved upon, glass plate is oxidised and quite possibly the original, overall finish is a slightly dull tone and has been retouched with gold paint at some point, there are two small receivers to each side suggesting this started life as a girandole, comes for sale from a deceased estate in Brighton.
A 19th century French ormolu and enamelled porcelain clock garniture, the eight day clock with arched architectural case flanked by a pair of urns, all decorated with scenes of medieval figures including Joan of Arc, Japy Freres movement, clock height 13.75in. urns 11.5in. overall on both plinths 17in.CONDITION: Somewhat neglected state, the ormolu is very dirty and rubbed particularly on one side of the top of the clock case, numerous small dirt and oxidisations spots throughout, arched top of the case looks to have two small foliate motifs (one from each side), dial dirty but otherwise looks good, hands rubbed but original, side panels equally in good order with just a little light rubbing to the gilding, movement looks dirty and neglected but thought to be complete, comes with pendulum but no key, one urn is a little wobbly at the joints, very dirty but otherwise good, the other urn with panel of knights on horseback has cracks running above their heads and a small chip, the left hand arm needs re-attaching at the bottom. All pieces sit on original gilt plinths and further ebonised plinths which at one time would have had glass domes.

An Edwardian mahogany mirror door wardrobe, having a moulded cornice and plain frieze over the arched central oblong mirror door and between stipple carved foliate urn panels, with incised panels below, the base with single long drawer and raised on block feet. 205 x 136 x 52 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Minor marks and scratches throughout, the right hand side base panel is lacking, some wear, door opening wear and scuffs to base.
