Central enamel and engine turned gilt dial with Roman numeral chapter rings & faceted hands. Two front facing marble columns with ormolu set mounts over a stepped marble plinth raised on turned gilt brass feet. Complete with key and pendulum. Franz Bergman, early 20th century Austrian cold painted bronze band of 10 dog musicians playing instruments including the drums, trumpet, horn, cello. triangle, symbols a singer and composer. All ten dogs in the band have the Bergman 'B' urn stamp to the inside of their hind leg or to the underside of the base if larger. The drummer and the cello player are also stamped 'AUSTRIA', average height 8cm.

A 20 BORE FLINTLOCK DUELLING PISTOL BY JOHN BASS. With a 25.5cm octagonal barrel with leaf engraved edge, engraved to the top 'Bass London', with flintlock firing action, the side further engraved 'Bass', with a decorative trigger guard with urn shaped terminal, ram rod below the barrel, 39cm overall. John Bass worked with his father-in-law John Twigg and traded as Twigg and Bass from 1788 - 1791, and then on his own until his death in 1794.

Swords of this type are typical of the American War of Independence and were often issued in preference to the 1796 Infantry Sergeants' spadroon.
