THE ALEXANDER CLARK MANUFACTURING COMPANY; an Edwardian hallmarked silver and inlaid tortoiseshell trinket box of rectangular form, the hinged lid decorated with an urn and scrolls enclosing a pleated silk interior and raised on four cabriole supports, Birmingham 1910, length 7.75cm width 5.5cm, height 5cm, approx 104.2g.Additional InformationTortoiseshell in good condition as is the inlay, the silk is dirty but intact, action closes well, tarnishing and toning to the silver, some tiny minute dents and some very light misshaping to the legs. Hallmarks readable but makers mark very slightly obscured. Around the edge of the lid where the tortoiseshell is within the silver slip there appears to be a small gap in some areas showing as holes but this is where the tortoiseshell finishes before the silver, it is only visible on two sides.

Two Samsons of Paris porcelain cats, together with a 19th century Derby beaker, a similar chamber stick, Royal Crown Derby miniature lidded urn, a Royal Worcester leaf jug, a Worcester Derbyshire decorated small vase and an Imari lidded casket. Tallest 10 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The Derby beaker is the small orange ground floral decorated vase. It is in generally good condition with no evidence of any damage, repairs or restoration. We cannot see any cracks and there are no chips. The only minor issue is rubbing to the gilding on both the top and foot rims. The chamberstick has a chip to the top rim and various scuffs and nibbles around the foot rim. There is a chip to the very top of the handle. The gilding is rubbed generally and there is a further small chip to the top edge of the candle aperture.
A Victorian walnut centre table, of shaped outline with foliate carved frieze and raised on cabriole legs with scroll supports beneath. Length 144 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound. The top is in generally good order with no significant issues. There are one or two scratches and the odd surface mark but no major problems. There is one scuff which maybe a little problematic as it has taken the top surface of the polish off. This is +/- 0.75 cm wide and +/- 7 cm in length. The moulded edge is in good condition all round. The frieze carvings are all intact. There are no issues with any of the legs or stretchers or centre urn and cover. There is no evidence of any woodworm.
A 19th century mahogany and inlaid bureau bookcase, having a swans neck and fretwork pediment with central urn finial above the glazed doors with inlaid corners enclosing adjustable shelves, above the bureau base with inlaid fall front enclosing a fitted interior of pigeon holes and drawers with central door, all above four graduated and inlaid and oak lined drawers with cast brass drop handles and oval backplates, supported upon shaped bracket feet. 91.5 cm wide, 223 cm high, 52.5 cm deep (see illustration).
A pair of Regency style mahogany urn stands, with gilt brass mounts. Height 67 cm, diameter 28.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The stands are probably between 30 and 50 years old. They are both in good structural order. There are no significant marks or scratches and no losses to the metalwork. They could be used in their current state without the need for any work.
An Edwardian style inlaid mahogany bedside cabinet, satinwood crossbanded and with urn motif to door. Width 37 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The cabinet is in generally very good condition with no significant issues. There are some minor blemishes to the polish but no significant issues. We have the key to the door which is not warped. The plinth base is in good condition the colour is generally good.
An Edwardian inlaid mahogany column, with urn top now with light fitting. Height to top of urn 150 cm. CONDITION REPORT: We have this plugged in and the lamp does light. The vase top has some minor losses to the chequered inlay. The column itself in in generally good order with no significant issues. It is perhaps a little faded. There are some marks and scratches to the base but no significant issues.
Scottish Civil Court Dress and Sword of Lord BlackburnA good attributed example. Comprising: fine quality quilted silk lined Coatee of dark blue velvet with one row of six bright cut steel buttons, quilted silk lining to the interior part shot and complete with lace cuffs ... Waistcoat of cream silk (Complete with buttons) ... Breeches of blue velvet Complete with cut steel buckles .... Cocked Hat of black material with black silk rosette and five cut steel chains. The interior with quilted black cotton lining, this bearing tailor’s label ... Black stockings ... Shoes of black patent leather, fitted with a pair of cut steel buckles ... Black cloth and velvet sword frog ... Court Sword, the blade with etched decoration, the hilt with gilt shell guard, single bar guard and the solid gilt grip is surmounted by an urn pommel. Contained in original black leather and gilt mo6unted scabbard. Complete with bullion sword knot. GC gilt dulled.... All housed in a metal storage tin, this has been repainted but retains original brass name plaque of “The Hon Lord Blackburn”. The inside lid with the tailor’s details of “J. Stewart & Son Edinburgh”. Good clean condition. Near VGCLord Colin Blackburn a Scottish Judge In 1876 he was made a Lord of Appeal in Ordinary and a life peer. He died in 1896
A Liverpool longcase clock of small proportions, broken swan neck pediment flanked by urn-shaped finials above filigree metal dial set with Roman and Arabic numerals, blind fretwork and gadrooned decoration throughout, shaped door flanked by quart pilasters, raised on bracket feet, spring driven and chiming, height 150cm (af). CONDITION REPORT Overall very good condition, one of the teardrop finials below the dial is missing. Some normal age-related wear, no obvious signs of damage or repair to the case. No twisting of door, movement appears complete. Keys and pendulum present. Ticks when wound.
