A group of 19th Century French gilt metal candlesticks, both converted to electricity, the first a two branch candelabrum, the canted plinth base rising to a spreading circular base, adorned with laurel branches intertwining around a central column adorned with ribbon swag and terminating at urn candle holder 23cms high, together with another alabaster and gilt metal candlestick with ram head terminals, 19.5cms.
COLLOONEY PRESENTATION CUPA GEORGE III IRISH SILVER AND SILVER-GILT TWO-HANDLED PRESENTATION CUP AND COVER TO ‘THE HEROES OF COLLOONEY’ - COLONEL CHARLES VEREKER AND THE LIMERICK CITY MILITIA BY THE LIMERICK CORPORATION AS AN EXPRESSION OF GRATITUDE FOR THEIR BRAVERY AT THE BATTLE OF COLLOONEY,Dublin 1802, makers mark probably that of James Scott, The urn shaped body with gilded interior and domed lid surmounted with classical urn finial, applied with reeded parcel gilt handles, the body engraved with inscription to either side, between a band of bright-cut engraved fruiting vines and a row of acanthus leaves, the first inscription surmounted with a gilt Limerick Militia Crest and ribbon inscribed with the battle date ‘5TH SEP. 1798’, the other surmounted by a gilt Coat of Arms of the City of Limerick, the inscription reads:‘The Grateful Corporation and Citizens ofLIMERICKTo the Heroes of ColooneyLet the Proud Citys Voice in ExultationTell the Earth and HeavensTHESE ARE HER SONS’and further inscribed:Dear to the MusesShall their deeds inspireWhatever Offerings, Genuis, Science, ArtCan dedicate to VirtueTO TRANSMITOn the Enlivened Canvass, Marble, Brass,In Wisdoms Volume, in the Poets Song,In every Tongue, thro Every Age and ClimeTheir Glorious Memoryand IMMORTAL WORTH(The cup c.69.5ozs). 46cm highTogether with an associated silver plated and gilt stand, by Elkington & Co. (72cm high with stand) applied with the crest of the City of Limerick.The inscription on the cup corresponds to the inscription on each of the medals presented to the members of the Militia. This cup and stand came into the posession of the Viscount Gort, probably on the disbandment of the Limerick Militia.
A Napoleon III ormolu and champleve enamel decorated onyx striking mantel clock, circa 1870, the rectangular case surmounted by an urn with foliate cast handles, with classical masks to the corners on lion paw feet. The brass dial with enamel and gilt Roman numerals, the twin barrel movement with recoil anchor escapement and rack striking to bell, 39cm high (key & pendulum). Illustrated

(33.5cm high) and a Victorian brass mantel clock with two handled urn surmount, ring handles and two train movement (39cm high) (2 pendulums and keys) (2).
A pair of Continental blue ground pottery vases, early 20th century, with brass foliate and figural mounts (a.f), 53cm high, together with an Art Nouveau style figural table lamp on a marble base, and a polychrome decorated figural candle modelled as a Persian female holding a two handled urn. (4)

A matched pair of Birmingham enamel urn-shaped vases c.1775, painted with scenes of fishermen on a riverbank before an arched bridge and beneath trees, within rococo cartouches on a turquoise ground, the square feet highlighted in yellow with flower sprays, one restored, 25cm. A rare Worcester high footed sauceboat c.1754-55, each side with a rococo moulded panel, printed in black in the 'Smoky Primitive' manner with chinoiserie scenes of figures with parasols and a Buddha in a temple, the interior with a European figure seated beside a Classical urn and blowing bubbles, some damages, 19.5cm across. Provenance: Phillips, 21st February 2001, The Norman Stretton Collection, lot 32.

"The Eclipse - Brand's patent" A walnut metamorphic writing table, patent 15398, (circa 1890), double flap fold out top, mechanically lifting centre section with a fold out writing surface and stationery rack with morocco bound booklets and inserts, front fascia with a Renaissance revival style carved panel, with an urn and scrolling foliage, fitted with three end drawers, matched by dummy drawers, width 58cm, depth 58cm, height 80cm.

A Louis XVI style gilt metal and alabaster mantel clock, mid 19th Century, with a flame filled urn finial, with a drum flanked by columns with turns and eagles enjoyed by floral swags, white enamel dial, cylinder movement, set on an ebonised plinth, 48cm overall, lacking dome and with the figural appliqué removed.

A Japanese ivory five case Shibayama decorated inro, Meiji Period, with inlaid decoration of mother-of-pearl, coral and tortoiseshell to depict an urn issuing peony and other flowers on one side, the other with birds, wisteria and blossom, signed on mother-of-pearl insert, with ojime and manju netsuke, 8.5cm x 6cm.
A late 19th century French walnut, marquetry inlaid and gilt metal mounted work table, the shaped rectangular top inlaid with a twin handled urn issuing flowers and foliage below ribbon tied garland flanked by scrolling foliage, opening to a fitted interior above a single frieze drawer, raised on four tapered cylindrical supports with reeded detail united by concave X-shaped stretcher, 70cm wide x 71.5cm high x 42cm deep.
