A 19th Century un-named twin-handled ironstone pot-pourri with pierced cover and urn finial decorated in the Imari palette flanked by relief decorated flower head handles, with gilt rim, on a circular foot, 30 cm high, together with a similar un-named twin handled baluster shaped vase in the Imari palette with wavy gilt rims, 38 cm high, and a similar Masons Ironstone mug decorated in the Imari palette with green serpent handle within gilt decorated rims, 8 cm high (3) CONDITION REPORTS All with wear and scuffs, including wear to gilding and firing faults including blue smudge marks and firing cracks. Vase handles broken and reglued. Some overpainting / restoration. Pot Pourri with restoration and repainting to rim and lid, and finial appears to be a later replacement and overpainted. Lid is not a good fit so is probably associated, although this may be due to the inner lid being missing. Firing cracks to base.
A pair of mid 19th Century French verdigris marble and gilt metal mounted urn shaped vases in the neo-Classical manner with ram's head and scrolling monopedic supports on shaped bases, 51 cm high (now converted to electricity) CONDITION REPORTS Both with extensive damage and losses to marble. One totally broken into numerous pieces. The other with damage mostly to the top sections. Both with large areas of marble missing (please see photos for examples)

One panel having dragons and foliate decoration,11½ ins x 8½ ins (29 cms x 21 cms). The third depicting an urn cascading flowers and fruit with birds either side, 5 ins x 15 ins (12.5 cms x 38 cms).
A 17th Century Oak Relief Carved Panel and Two Frieze Rails. The panel depicting a winged angel, 10½ ins x 9½ ins (27 cms x 24 cms). One rail centred by a relief carved cherub strumming a lute, flanked by winged lions and foliate scrolls, 4½ ins x 20½ ins (11.5 cms x 52 cms). The other rail carved with birds and cherubs amongst scrolling acanthus flanking an urn of flowers, 6 ins x 32 ins (15 cms x 81 cms).

Australian tour of England 1930. ‘The Ashes’. Official menu for the home coming Dinner given by the Victorian Cricket Association to celebrate regaining ‘The Ashes’. The Dinner held on the 15th November 1930 at The Members Pavilion of the Melbourne Cricket Ground and was attended by the returning players and officials. Excellent front cover cartoon illustration by artist Samuel Wells showing a kangaroo, with its head depicted by the heads of the returning cricketers, holding the Ashes urn and carrying a cricket bat, wearing pads and cricket boots standing in Australia with the defeated English lion behind and the Union Jack at half mast.
