Of the five names on the trophy for a coxed four, H C Metcalfe of the 58th Regiment stands out in the sporting history of Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Football Club, one of the leading sporting clubs in Asia was founded in 1886 and is the home, today, of the Hong Kong Sevens. Metcalfe was one of the founding members and on the first elected committee, playing in the second rugby match in February 1886

A Pair of Ornate Silver Plate on Copper Twin-branch Wall Sconces. The urn-shaped wall mounts cast and chased with scrolling foliage and flowers suspended from rosette crested rings and having pendant tassel finials. The S-scroll arms emanating from a demi-lune collar and bearing octagonal urn shaped light sockets above swirling foliate 'drip pans', 18½ ins (47 cms) in length.
