A "COADE" STONE URN with a spirally fluted top surmounted by a flambeau finial, the body with circular paterae and ribbon-tied husks above a band of upright palmettes and a spirally fluted socle, on a square base, with a modern internal metal fixing, 44.5" high. Provenance: According to the vendor, this urn was acquired from Belmont, Lyme Regis, Dorset when he lived in the town. Belmont was Mrs Coade's house (1784) and the exterior has extensive Coade ornaments including comparable urn finials along the parapet.Note for condition report: flambeau finial replaced and the core with a new steel rod apparently replaced at the same time

A novelty pin cushion formed from a coquilla nut in the form of an urn with a bone and vegetable ivory stand (handles af), height 9cm and another urn shaped example with cotton reel holder stand (2). CONDITION REPORT: Vegetable ivory and nut example is split with glue repairs. The stem of the bobbin example is a later applied section, damage to lower section of urn.

Philips, on the outside and with trade label inside, complete with horn flask, oil bottle, nipple-wrench and powder measure 60.7 cm; 23 7/8 in barrel This gun appears to have been cased and built by Dooley around an existing German barrel, stock and mounts. This maker is recorded at 11 Ranelagh Street, Liverpool, circa 1843-57.
