Garden urns/pots/planters: A carved white marble Medici urn, late 18th/early 19th century, 101cm highFirst recorded in 1598 in the inventory of the Villa Medici, Rome although there is evidence that it was there at least thirty years earlier. In 1780 it was removed to Florence and soon entered the Uffizi where it remains today. The vase was one of the most popularly reproduced antiquities being copied in marble, bronze, terracotta, alabaster and biscuit and was commonly paired with the similarly shaped Borghese vase. It is believed that the original was executed in the second half of the first century A.D.
A good-quality mid-Victorian burr walnut open bookcase, the low galleried shaped back with central floral carved oval panel, above a rectangular top and carved urn plinths and open brass-beaded shelves flanked by carved floral corbels, raised on cross-banded plinth and bracket supports, 142cm wide, 125cm high.

A Set of Twelve Carved Mahogany Hepplewhite Style Dining Chairs, including two carvers, the leaf carved top rails above fluted uprights centred by an urn above cream buttoned and close-nailed overstuffed seats, on square tapering forelegs, singles 55cm by 46cm by 90cm, carvers 57cm by 48cm by 91cm See illustration. An Ormolu and Bronze Striking Mantel Clock, signed Alph Giroux, A Paris, circa 1880, case depicting a central urn with flowers and flanked with bronze cherubs reclining, base with white marble panels and floral scroll mounts, 3-3/4-inch enamel dial with Arabic and Roman numerals, twin barrel movement with outside countwheel striking on a bell, backplate stamped Vincenti and numbered 409, 38cm by 42cm see illustration 11.02.20 Ormolu surfaces are faded, minor chips to the front white marble panels, left hand side marble panel with a small piece missing, dial with some chips, movement needs cleaning, strike working, with pendulum.

A Palais Royal Ebony Sewing Box, mid 19th century, of scallop form, the hinged cover set with a mother-of-pearl shell carved with an urn, swags and foliage within steel picqué work, scrolls, diamonds and swags, opening to reveal a mirror and lift-out tray with compartments, containing a gold bodkin case, a gold mounted cut glass scent bottle and a gold mounted steel pair of scissors, the cylinder musical movement playing four airs on a single steel comb, gold items with eagle guarantee mark only, 16.5cm wide Originally the residence of Cardinal Richelieu, the Palais Royal was partially developed into shopping arcades at the end of the 18th century and became notable for the sale of expensive luxury goods. Box with wear and some minor splitting. Cloth cover to underside of base in poor condition. Some items lacking from fitted compartments to interior. Some staining to material on interior. Scissors with one arm broken. Musical movement currently not working and with one tooth to comb missing. 021019

•ANNA KATRINA ZINKEISEN ROI (SCOTTISH 1901-1976) THE BLUE PERSIAN URN Oil on canvas, signed and dated 1921, 61 x 51cm (24 x 20") Condition Report: The painting has been lined and on inspection appears to be in good overall condition.Under ultra violet light inspection there is evidence of some retouching at intermittent intervals around the edges, on an area above the head, the forehead, the left and to lesser extent right cheek, slim line across the nose, the left and right of the upper half section of the dark dress and generally the odd very small touch here and there.
A Late XIX Century French Leroy and Fils, Paris Ormolu Mantel Clock, inset with Sevres style porcelain panels, painted with garden and figural scenes, the rectangular base with reeded columns supported with a two-handled urn and applied with rams head and acanthus swags, the dial with Roman numerals and enamelled decoration, inscribed "Leroy and Fils, 211 Regent Street, London", the movement striking on a bell, inscribed 'Leroy and Fils, Paris, 16037' on a plinth, key and pendulum present, 39cm high.
A Large Exhibition Type Longcase or 'Grandfather' Clock with a three train movement on eight chiming bells, supported by three large brass weights of varying sizes, playing Westminster and Whittington chimes. Subsidiary dials to the arched brass dial with silent and chimes display dial; the brass dial fitted with cast ormolu mounts to back corner, silvered chapter rings to the dial, maker or retailers name to the face, Thomas Armstrong and brothers, Manchester. Impressive mahogany case profusely inlaid with satinwood and various coloured exotic woods, with an Adams type urn to the central panel of the door; inlaid swags to the base, supported by shaped bracket feet. The hood with finely carved rosette roundels to the scrolls, with a central finial, fret work sides to the hood and finely matched Corinthian columns with capitals to both the case trunk and hood, 90'' high, 18'' wide, 12'' deep.
