A mid 19c French mantel clock the countwheel striking movement signed Leroy et Fils and numbered silk pendulum suspension and a 3.5in diam. silvered dial with Roman numerals. It is contained in a rectangular case of yellow Jaune brocatelle marble with bronze brass mounts and surmounted by a bronzed brass urn. The clock stands 14.5in tall overall.
A late 19c French 'four glass' clock, the circular movement having a mercury compensated pendulum and rack striking on a gong. It is contained in a glazed gilt brass case with blue ground and having a bulbous top of matching enamel surmounted by a gilt urn similarly decorated. The pendulum and dial bezel are similarly decorated and the gilt dial has arabic numerals and an enamel centre. The case has four free standing rope twist columns to its corners with turned finials and paw feet. The clock stands 17.5in tall.
