An early-mid 20th century diamond bow brooch, the four round brilliant cut diamond set loops secured with a knot of bagette cut diamonds to diamond set tails, total estimated weight of diamonds approx. 1.35cts, all set in unmarked white precious metal, with pin to reverse and seperate safety chain, 3.8cm long
A pair of Louis XVI style open armchairs, circa 1900, with carved mahogany frames and bow seats, on spiral fluted supports, 58cm wide x 92cm high, (2).Footnote: these are White Star Line chairs originally designed for the Ritz Restaurants on the RMS Titanic, Olympic and Britannic. The upholstery is the correct shape, though the fabric is very different from that originally used. The Olympic's chairs were sold in the North East of England when she was being stripped of fittings, shortly before being broken up in Scotland in 1935. The Britannic's were redistributed among several other White Star and Cunard liners in following years as she was never commissioned as a passenger ship (and was sunk in the Aegean Sea during the First World War).
