Very Rare Waterloo Period French ANXI / XIII Cuirassier or Heavy Cavalry troopers sword Manufactured and inscribed Klingenthal Mar 1815, (first part of inscription worn) 2 x ponicons stamped on blade, and matching rack number found on scabbard and knuckleguard. Knuckleguard made of brass, covered by 3 outer branches that connect to the knuckle-bow and then to the barrel-shaped pommel; the grip is of browned leather with twisted wire. The scabbard was made of iron with a guitar shaped drag . Scabbard is contemporary in good condition and has matching rack number inscribed on banding. The blade was double fullered on each side, pointed blade.

A 19th century mahogany and inlaid strung bow fronted sideboard, with lion mask ring handles, the central drawer flanked by cupboard and cellaret on ring turned supports, terminating on brass castors. Condition Report: Overall condition good. Planks have separated to top (not split). Split to one end. Split to left0hand cupboard door. Depth to inside cupboards 60cm. Width to inside cupboards 40cm.
