A 22 bore flintlock duelling pistol by Tatham and Egg, circa 1810 the rebrowned octagonal barrel stamped with gold lined 'Tatham & Egg' mark and inlaid gold line at breech, engraved tang, the stepped bolted lock engraved with laurel border, sunburst and floral design, signed 'Tatham & Egg' below the pan, with slide-safety and engraved 'French' cock, semi-rainproof pan and roller (restorations), set trigger, the figured walnut full stock with horn fore-end, chequered saw-handle butt and provision for a shoulder stock, engraved steel mounts including trigger-guard with engraved trophy-of-arms to the bow, fore and rear moulded ramrod pipes and brass tipped ramrod, the butt with inset oval band and plaque inscribed 'Tatham & Egg improvement 912' and a silver escutcheon with owners crest and motto (worn), 9in.
