She originally had her studio and occasional sales space in Palmerston Place, Edinburgh. Jean Muir (1928-1995) went on from her early training with Jaeger to form her own label, becoming known for her support of craft workers often incorporating silver buttons and horn elements in her work, she was principally an advocate of simple, stylish clothing working with the finest quality materials and eschewing superflouous decoration.
