It has a Rous Lynch label; brim of hat has been restored and has minor chips to rim. Beehive/basket to rim has grey bubbles to surface of glaze, chipping and losses to mounted flowers in line with age and usage.

Fine quality early 19th century dressing table music box, the rectangular mahogany box with inset shield shaped mother of pearl plaque, mirror to underside of lid, enclosing silk lined interior with removable tray, housing various fine carved mother of pearl accoutrements, the needlecase and thimble with cloisonné inlaid pansy motif, with two rear gilt metal mounted ink bottles, the whole 19cm wideCondition report: Box is by Palais Royale. The music box is working and plays beautifully but only manually started, there appears to be missing element between button to front of box and activating mechanism. The comb appears to be entirely intact. Small chip to front edge veneer of outer case, some discolouration to front edge, one activating button is missing to front, small bow to veneer on right side. Some other edge general veneer damage and wear, top yawns slightly, loss to one mother of pearl fitting. Scissors have a repair to handle, no discoloured glue. A RARE CASED VICTORIAN 12-BORE PINFIRE LOADING AND CLEANING SET, circa 1865, possibly French, comprising of a two-tiered oak case measuring externally approximately 10 1/2in. x 6in. x 4 1/4in., loose handle mounted to a bow-tie escutcheon on the lid, the interior lined in red baize in the continental style, the top-tray containing a three piece lignum sizing tool, two adjustable powder or shot measures (one a replacement) and a 'Hawksley' brass capper (additional compartment for a powder scoop, missing), the lower tray with a four-piece brass mounted mahogany cleaning rod, 'Turk's' head brush, pull-through weight, French cap-tin and a worm (additional compartments for a turn-screw and possibly a cartridge extractor, both absent).

A RARE CASED 100-BORE PERCUSSION PEPPERBOX REVOLVER OF PAKTONG WHITE-METAL SIGNED COLLINS, no visible serial number, circa 1830, with fully fluted 2 3/4in. six-shot paktong barrel-group, engraved band at muzzles, Birmingham proved, blued iron nipples, rounded paktong action with integral moulded nipple-guard, the body border and scroll engraved and signed 'COLLINS, MAKER' on the left side, colour hardened bar-hammer and trigger, blued iron engraved trigger-guard bow and paktong frame with engraved back-strap and heel-cap, fitted with smooth walnut grips, much finish remaining and complete with its original walnut storage case lined and compartmented in dark blue baize and containing a small size bag-shaped flask (mainspring absent), a scissors ball-mould, a loading rod and two further lidded compartments.

COLT LONDON' on two lines within brackets, five-shot cylinder with roll-engraved naval scene, open iron frame marked 'COLTS PATENT', iron grip-straps and trigger-guard (slight traces of silver plated finish), smooth walnut one-piece grip and articulated under-barrel rammer, dome-head screws, retaining traces of blued finish and colour, all matching numbers, 10 5/8in. overall, in an American style walnut case, the lid with rounded corners and central flush-fitting 'bow-tie' brass escutcheon, (lid plate re-attached to frame) central lock (key present), the interior lined and compartmented in red velvet, the inside of lid with period parchment instruction and complete with original steel double cavity Colt Patent mould, reproduction flask, 'L' shaped nipple key and wood-handled cleaning rod.
