WW2 British Kings Medal for Courage, being a ladies issue with ribbon bow. Housed in the original Royal Mint case of issue. Medal is un-named as issued. Accompanying the medal is an American citation, “The President of the United States of America has directed me to express to MIREILLE BREST the gratitude and the appreciation of the American people for gallant service in assisting the escape of Allied soldiers from the enemy”, facsimile signature of Dwight D Eisenhower underneath. Some fraying and wear to the edge of the citation.
17th Century Continental Transitional Rapier, slender tapered diamond-section blade, iron hilt chiselled with quillon block in the form of a pair of addorsed human faces, quillons as serpents, knuckle bow with a stylised animal, swollen pommel, copper wire bound grip. Blade 94cms, overall 110cms. Fair condition, blade cleaned bright, grip replaced and incomplete, guard missing, age worn overall.

Blade 55cms, overall 68cms. Good condition, age worn overall, blade lightly pitted and cleaned bright.
Early 18th Century Brass Hilt Smallsword, 17th century blade cut with a pair of fullers and pierced with geometric openings, etched on both sides Spinola (presumably after the famous and successful Spanish commander), hilt chiselled in relief with reclining classical figures, cannon, shields, foliage against a finely punched ground, wooden grip. Blade 77cms, overall 94cms. Good condition, knuckle bow well restored, grip wire missing.
German “Blucher” Pattern Sword, steel guard with plain langet, knuckle bow leading to thick pommel with securing nut and plain back strap. Black ebony handle. Curved partially double edged blade with fuller to the back edge. Blade measures 76 cms, overall 90 cms. At some point the sword has been painted gold and some of this remains to the sword fittings and top of the blade.
