A late 19th to early 20th Century violin with spruce sound board and one piece maple back, bearing spurious paper label 'Antonius Stradnarius Cremona, faciebat anno 1783', length of back including button 35cm and overall length 56cm, A/F, complete with an un-named bow and black painted pine case, together with another early 20th Century violin with dark stained spruce soundboard and two-piece maple back, stamped HOPF below the button, length of back including the button is 37cm and overall length 59cm, complete with unnamed bow and case. A 19th/20th century probably German (4/4) violin bearing an apocryphal paper label for Iofredus (Giofreddo?) Cappa, with two-piece back and satinwood and ebonized purfling with ebony pegs and fingerboard together with a Bausch copy (stamped) bow with mother of pearl and nickel silver inlaid fittings and another bow. Together with a similar violin and bow with a two-piece back both with fitted hard cases. 59 cm overall length, 37 cm length of back, the primary item.Please Note.The ivory tip plates have been removed from these violin bows to comply with the law governing the sale of ivory and although it may be present in the images that accompany this lot it has in fact now been removed. Lee Enfield 7.62mm bolt action rifle, LICENCE REQUIRED Lee Enfield 7.62mm bolt action rifle, converted from a No.4 Mk 1 receiver dated 1943 to wrist joint, 26inch heavy barrel, fitted with Alfred J Parker 7.62 target sight and front tunnel sight with spare elements.UK FIREARMS LICENCE WITH 7.62mm VARIATION OR RFD REQUIRED115cm long The rifle is in good general condition throughout. The metal finish has very little wear with only the odd scuff or mark, there is a small fresh patch of corrosion to the bow of the trigger guard which would clean up with ease. The stock has small minor marks but no repairs or serious damage. There are some shakes (small wood splits) around the pistol grip in the end grain. These have been filled and are stable. The bore has seen a fair amount of rounds through it and the edges of the lands and grooves are softer / not as sharply defined especially around the throat area.
