An Edwardian oak Country House Post Box retailed by W.Thornhill & Co., the top with cut brass lettering `Plas Machynlleth`, brass letter slot, and glazed window with ink inscribed card, Post Arrives & Departs times, the front with brass plaque inscribed Letters, above a bowed glass lockable door with key, the base with red morroco lining, above a smaller brass plaque inscribed Telegrams and a shallow bow fronted drawer with retailers inset ivorine label, the sides with twin open compartments, 15in (38cm) wide, 12in (30cm) high, 10in (26cm) deep. * Plas Mackynlleth was the Welsh residence of the Marquesses of Londonderry, situated in the market town of Machynlleth in Powys (formally Montgomeryshire).

Edwardian inlaid mahogany bedroom suite, comprising sectional wardrobe and dressing table, the wardrobe with an arched moulded dentil cornice above a pair of bow fronted doors enclosing a series of shelves and with four graduated drawers beneath each with brass drop handle with pierced shaped backplates, flanked on either side by a full length mirrored door with bevelled glass enclosing hanging space. Width 88 ins, dressing table width 53.5 ins (see illustration).
