The bracelet fastens with tongue and box catch and features a figure-of-eight safety catch. The brooch fastens with a pin and trombone catch. The bracelet, brooch and ring bear no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gold. The earrings with indistinct marks to the clips, in our opinion would test as gold. He married Anne Colby of Bletherston in 1775 and was succeeded by his son, also HughNo cracks or noted mildew / wear to the painting itself. Stones all intact. Rear plare with some deep scratches. The top bow appears to be detachable and serves as a suspension loop to wear as a pendant, there is a slot to the bottom with no fitting present, possible for use as a bracelet.Outer case in fair condition with some marks.

Sink the Bismarck.- Vanneck (Sir Peter, Royal Navy officer, fighter pilot, engineer, stockbroker and politician, Lord Mayor of London, 1922-99) Journal for the Use of Midshipmen, autograph manuscript, printed title signed and 279pp., printed matter at beginning, numerous pen and ink maps and diagrams (some folding) and several photographs, browned, 6pp. incomplete draft typescript "for Peter Scott's Book the battle of the narrow seas" loosely inserted, original cloth, rubbed and marked, printed paper label signed by Vanneck on upper cover, joints splitting, gilt morocco label on spine, spine faded, folio, 1939-42.⁂ A first hand account by a midshipman serving on HMS KIng George V of the attack and sinking of the Bismarck."27.5.41 We sighted Bismarck... on the starboard bow... and... opened fire. She was coming towards us... and she fired her 15-in at [HMS] Rodney and, it appeared her 5.9-in at us... . We engaged her... . I did not like her look. It was something like a pike with her raked bow and formidable looking turrets. Altogether we fired seventy five broadsides... . At 11.01 as all the world knows the Bismarck turned over and sank. Over one hundred survivors were picked up by the Norfolk (?) & Dorset." - Vanneck.Both Vanneck and Peter Scott served on Motor Torpedo Boats during the Second World War.

Louis Milton Violin, two bows and a case Louis Milton Violin, two piece back with medium curl and red brown varnish, the label reads 'Louis F Milton Beford England no.86, 1926', another label reads 'Sole Agents, Hawkes and Son, Denman Street, Picadilly, London' together with two bows, one stamped Voirin, and a case.Length of back, 35.5cm.Updated report: The violin is in good honest condition and showing signs of wear that can be seen from the images. There are no obvious structural damages, no signs of repair and no sound post cracks. The bridge has a slight forward lean and would probably need replacing for the violin to play its best when the missing strings are replaced. The case is shows signs of wear and age but no serious damage. The bows both need new hair but the sticks are straight along the length, one bow has a split by the frog caused by a rusting pin.
