Model 1822 Percussion Conversion MusketThis Model 1822 D.Nippes Contract Musket, this Model 1822 is a .69 caliber smooth bore flintlock, with a 42 inch barrel and an overall length of 58 inches. One of the most noticeable differences in the Model 1822 is the attachment of the lower sling swivel. The forward part of the trigger bow was provided with an enlargement which was drilled to receive the sling swivel rivet. Previously, the sling swivel had been affixed to a stud in front of the trigger bow. Condition: Very good, bore is dark with some pitting.Starting Price: $300

Condition: Iron guard and pommel with nice brown untouched patina. Markings are very sharp and crisp. Scabbard is a nice brown untouched patina. U.S. Civil War Model 1850 Staff Officer`s Sword Presented to Isaac H. Turrell with Documents32" blade length with etched panels of military motifs. Shagreen and brass wire wrapped handle. Brass pommel and knuckle bow. Metal scabbard with brass fittings.Isaac H. Turrell (1838-?) was with the Union as a 1st Lieutenant, 109th U.S. Colored troops. He was a former teacher and rose from the ranks as a private in the 84th Indiana where he was a clerk at division headquarters and was appointed as recruiting officer to raise a company in Franklin County, Indiana. He was discharged in 1864 to report to the 109th U.S. Colored Troops in Ashland, Kentucky. The archive includes letters appointing him a recruiting officer; a War Department letter appointing him 1st Lt. U.S. Colored Troops; a letter from Turrell at City Point to the Commander of his old unit requesting a discharge and informing him of his new appointment; an officer`s temporary hospital document; special orders granting him leave; special orders to relieve another officer at Indianola, Texas; a receipt of ordinance stores signed by him near Texana, Texas; a list of store goods transfered to his control in Texana, Texas; receipt of store goods to him at New Orleans; and an inventory and War Department letter acknowledging received store goods. Issac H. Turrell is buried in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio. Condition: Blade has been cleaned and is a gunmetal grey. Panels are good. Scabbard has some dents. Metal scabbard. A popular model because of Indian Wars issue. Condition: Blade is in almost mint condition with very sharp crisp markings. Blade still shows the original polished lines. Springfield Model 1905/1906 Experimental Saber27" nickel-plated blade length, marked at ricasso serial number 68, on the reverse 1906 SA and flaming bomb. Shagreen and brass wire wrapped handle. Checkered designed steel pommel with steel cupped knuckle bow. Brown leather scabbard with two metal carrying rings. Near the throat is marked 59, 8, RIA and dated 1906. Condition: This is an excellent specimen of a very rare sword made at Springfield arsenal. Total production was around 160. There is some minute wear spots to the shagreen handle. Blade is near mint retaining all of the original nickel finish. Leather scabbard has some scuffs, and the drag is opened a little and exposed.Starting Price: $2000

Condition: Excellent condition with excellent bores. It retains ca 98% of the factory refinish and the wood is excellent with a few very minor dings. The pad has collapsed at the toe.
