Darton G1074(3): the first edition of 'Youthful Sports' was published in 1801, and all editions are rare. It contains descriptions of such games as: Battledore and Shuttlecock; Quoits; Blindman's Buff; Flying the Kite; Bow and Arrow; Stilts; Marbles, Peg Top; Trap Ball; Air Balloons, Dressing Dolls; Bird Nesting; Whip Top; and Badger the Bull, or Bait the Bear. Shallow but one each side running from top of violin to top of F holes. Peg box with a couple of cracks and appears to have been repaired. Pegs are matched. Violin scratched and with general wear. Unmarked bow. Needs new hair, piece of rubber tubing used as grip, length slightly bent. Other stamped Tourte. Wear and tear grip worn. General wear. Both bows will not unscrew. Concertina: 21 keys, wooden ends which are both split. Unnamed. Holes to bellows. Applied decoration missing and broken.

Height - 77.5 cm Depth - 40.5 cm In terms of condition, one of the cabinets has some water staining to the varnish on the top surface, which has slightly damaged the finish, but this is localised, otherwise good with one of the cupboard doors with some scratches and otherwise light knocks, scratches and chips commensurate with use.
