Assorted Late 19th Costume, comprising a JAs Rankine Turriff midnight blue velvet jacket with later lace collar, hook and eye fastenings, bead appliques to the cuffs; black silk skirt woven with floral sprigs, another in plain black silk with multi pleated tiered hem; black wool jacket with black silk floral appliques and wide collar (4)Condition report: Blue velvet jacket with few small holes and wear to the lining. Significant creases around the hem, some losses to the beadwork on the cuffs and wear to the velvet in particular across the shoulders. Black floral skirt generally in good condition. The plain black skirt with later zip and fastenings. The Jacket, silk decoration is lifting in part, few small holes to the front edge. Silk edging on the collar is badly damaged, and the bow detail stained and discoloured.
