An Early 19th Century French Diplomat`s Sword, the 81cm single edge steel blade engraved and gilt with martial trophies and foliate tendrils, bearing traces of blueing, the hallmarked silver hilt with griffin mask and foliate chased and cast shell guard, the knuckle bow with a trophy of arms, with plumed and visored helmet pommel and two piece mother of pearl grip, lacks scabbard.
A 17th Century Hunting Sword, the 63cm single edge slightly curved steel blade engraved with three crescent moon faces to each side, the steel stirrup hilt with shell guard, beast head quillon, the knuckle bow worked as two stylised grasping serpent mouths, with antler grip and domed cap pommel engraved with a band of scalloping.
