Indian Sword Khanda, c.1800, T-section recurved single edge blade 25.75 cms massively swollen towards the tip and with traces of gold damascened inscription, iron basket hilt with tall pommel spike and broad knuckle bow, retaining traces of silver damascened decoration. Good condition, some light pitting and age wear overall.
A Sèvres cup and saucer (gobelet calabré et soucoupe) date code for 1761, the cup painted in the manner of François Boucher with a winged putto before clouds, holding a floral wreath and a flaming torch, the saucer with a similar putto placing an arrow in his bow, reserved on a bleu lapis ground with gilt caillouté decoration, blue interlaced Ls mark enclosing date letter I above unidentified painter's mark of a dot inside a circle, 15cm.
