(81cms) long fullered blued blade with gilt decoration of war trophies, crest, anchors and maker's mark, looks to read "Robertson, Strand", fitted bow lacquered brass knuckle guard and wire-bound ivory grip under a lion mask pommel (no scabbard), 36 1/2in. (93cms) long overall.

CONDITION REPORTS: Overall good, some slight fading, slight split to cornice, small loss to left hand corner of pediment, some scuffing/scratching, general wear.

Note: John Goddard (1923-2012) was a celebrated fisherman and author.
