A Rockingham novelty inkwell modelled in the form of a shoe tied with a bow. Ground in green and with gilt edging. Printed puce griffin mark and cl. 2 in red c.1830-42, 12.5cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Loss to te bow. The main shoe in good order free from damage and repair.

Attributed to George Edward Hunt (1892-1960) an Arts and Crafts moonstone, sapphire and enamelled silver and gold detail brooch, eleven cabochon cut rub-over set moonstones scattered throughout the stylised bow form, the largest measuring approximately 11.5mm by 8.5mm, interspersed with a total of ten mixed cut round and oval blue sapphires, the largest measuring approximately 4mm by 4mm and 5mm by 3.5mm, with scrolling vine and enamel leaf accents, simple pin and lever safety catch brooch fittings complete with safety chain, dimensions approximately 70mm by 55mm (some damage to enamel) George Edward Hunt (1892-1960) was born in Dudley and studied at the Birmingham School of Jewellery, Vittoria Street under Arthur Gaskin, becoming part of the Birmingham Group. Hunt was awarded several prizes for design and metalwork and he opened at shop near Birmingham city centre to sell his jewellery. In the mid 1920s he moved with his father to live at 10 Bull Street, Harborne where he remained until his death
