An early 20th century photograph album, containing a large quantity of photographs and postcards relating to Calgary, Canada, to include Bowness Park, Gate Bridge construction over Bow river, April 26th 1913, Canadian Pacific rail locomotives, the Canadian Rockies, the construction of the CNR bridge at Elbow river, residential and public buildings in Calgary, Lansdowne Park, Ottawa, and a further 50% of the album given over to UK sites to include the 47th IN Guns Canadian Field Artillery, Dymchurch, Kent 1916, images of the Astra Torres Balloon. The majority of the images with white ink inscribed title and short text with dates. CONDITION REPORT: There are 197 individual images although there a few images that sadly have become to adhered to one another to view. The images although not fully stuck down do appear to be stuck within their corner mounts. 78 of the images are of British topographical views to include Essex, Cromer, Regents Park, Bradbourne Kent, Nr Teddington, Canterbury, Hythe and others.

Lot 755

A Furstenberg type porcelain figure group, early 20th century, modelled as a gentleman and lady in 19th century dress, the gentleman on one knee, 18.5 cm high, approximately 26 cm wide (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The ribbon tips in the ladies hat have been professionally restored to a high standard. There is a tiny white speck on the tip of the gentleman's right shoe. There is a further small patch on the gentleman's right shoe where the black enamel has not taken to the porcelain just to the right of the bow. The ladies left shoe has been professionally restored to a high standard. Other than those faults mentioned the item appears to be in good decorative order.

A Cello, length of back 76 cm, circa 1900. CONDITION REPORT: There is a bow measuring just under 72 cm. The bow has no makers stamp. There is only a canvas carry bag. Within the bag there is a spare tuning key. The cello has no makers mark or label. There are signs of old repairs throughout, confirmed by traces of old glue. Looking directly at the cello there are scuff marks and old repairs on the top right hand corner along with a 5 cm split. The left hand top side has also been bashed and the varnish has flaked. The bottom left hand side has had a restoration. On the bottom right hand side there is a small piece missing from the edge of the body and also just opposite the F hole. It has a two piece back. This would require careful restoration before being playable. The cello has a very thin band of purfling.

AN 18TH CENTURY IVORY SILK AND FLORAL EMBROIDERED GENTLEMAN'S WAISTCOAT, pockets with faux flaps, six silk covered plain buttons, cotton lined and cotton back, later added buckled adjuster at back with partial label, approximate length 68cm, together with a 19th Century long cotton shirt with frilled front, stiff collar and cuffs and a later white bow tie (3) (condition: colours are still good to embroidery, some staining to silk to the left hand side, also maybe some fitting adjustments to the back, the back and interior cotton are grubby with age) The bow tie is slightly discoloured and this is patchy, it is fitted with a metal buckle with two metal clips stitched in at the back to help hold in onto a collar, the shirt is machine sewn, the shirt has a small tear on the right hand side of the front of the shirt, there is a large vertical split between two seams behind the button holed frill, with another smaller hole on the left hand side of the horizontal band of cotton under the edge of the frilled section, the shirt is made of up of lots of sections and most have been complicated to sew, there are dirty marks here and there throughout the shirt, the waistcoat under the arms is in good condition, the main staining is on the right hand side of the waistcoat but there are a few lesser patches, as mentioned in the description, the cotton lining and back are very grubby
