Imperial German Artillery Officers Sword with Gilt Panel and Artificial Damascus Blade, gilt lion head example with crossed cannon barrels and Medusa head to the langets. Plain gilt brass knuckle bow leading to lion head with jewelled eyes. Grip retains the original wire binding. Attached to the handle is the officers pattern bullion knot / portopee. Housed in its original steel scabbard with double gilt brass hanging rings and single red leather with braid brocade hanging strap. Single edged slightly curved blade with remains of the artificial Damascus decoration and gilded double panels with crowned eagle and foliage to both sides. Blade measures 83cms in length. Generally in good condition.
Imperial German Prussian Garde Regiment Officers Lion Head Sword, gilt hilt with enamelled Prussian Garde star burst to the centre of the langet. Knuckle bow with relief of foliage, trophy of arms and Iron Cross. Grip retains the original wire binding. Complete with its original dress knot / portopee. Housed in its steel scabbard with single hanging ring. Single edged pipe back blade etched “Eisenhauer”. Blade measures 84 ½ cms in length. Good untouched example.
Imperial German Fusilier Pattern Officers Dress Sword with Blue and Gilt Etched Blade, gilt brass dove head pattern German infantry sword, the type associated with Fusilier regiments. Plain brass langet, knuckle bow and back strap. Grip retains the original wire binding. Housed in its black painted scabbard with single hanging ring. Slightly curved single edged blade with fuller to three quarters. Blade is etched with blue and gilt panels to both sides, foliage and trophy of arms, “Oestereich s/l Ohlert”. Some wear to the lower end of the blade and some of the blue and gilt decoration rubbed. Blade measures 74cms in length.

Scarce WW2 German Army Officers Herder Model 1017 Dress Sword, good untouched example of the special pattern dress sword manufactured by Herder. Army pattern downward winged eagle and swastika to the cross guard, raised relief to the knuckle bow leading to panther head with red jewelled eyes. Back strap with relief. Black celluloid covered grip with wire binding. Housed in the original black painted field scabbard with single hanging ring. Attached to the sword is a brown leather tear drop pattern sword hanger. Plain slightly curved blade with fuller to the back edge. Some small nicks to the blade and rusting to the scabbard. Hilt gilt dulled.

Grip retains the original wire binding. Housed in its original black painted scabbard with brown leather tear drop hanger. Slightly curved single edged blade with fuller to back edge. Makers mark to the underneath of the langet. Blade measures 89 ½ cms in length. Some surface spotting to the blade but overall a good example.

Grip retains the original wire binding and gilt cipher to the centre. Officers leather backed wire braid knot / portopee. Housed in its original steel parade scabbard with two hanging rings. Straight single edged blade with double fuller. Blade has etched blue and gilt presentation panels to each side, in gothic script “Wilberg s/l Roestel” and the other side “Dem Feinde zum Gratz Dem freunde zum Schutz”, also etched with foliage. Some surface staining to the lower section of the blade and the blueing is now absent. Blade measures 81cms in length.

Grip retains the original wire binding and gilt cipher. Housed in its original steel scabbard with single hanging ring. Hilt has the original leather and bullion knot / portopee. Single edged piped back blade with double etching, including gothic inscription “Gewidmet u.d. ausscheidendem Jahrgang 1897-99”, reverse etched with foliage and trophy of arms. Blade with early Carl Eickhorn makers trade mark to the base. Blade measures 81cms in length. Very good overall condition.

Housed in its original plated parade scabbard with two hanging rings, having attached hanging straps with braid brocade and officers sword belt. Single edged straight blade with double fuller. Both sides with etched panels, having trophy of arms, foliage and one side with presentation in gothic script “Uhrem verehrten Hauptmann U Bohne II Compagnie Birkefelder Schutzenbataillon 28.8.97”. Early WKC makers trade mark to the base of the blade, measures 80 ½ cms. Remains in very good overall condition.

Blade measures 78 cms in length. Exterior hilt fittings painted black for front line use during the First World War. Swords carried and issued for service in the front lines were often painted black or grey to stop shine and reflection in the trenches.

Housed in its original black painted filed scabbard with single hanging strap ring fitting, some wear to the finish on the scabbard.

Slightly curved single edged blade with etching of foliage and trophy of arms. Blade measures 79cms in length. Small dents to the scabbard and blade dull.

Knuckle bow with relief in the form of foliage, trophy of arms and Iron Cross. Original grip retaining the wire binding. Attached to the hilt is the original leather and bullion sword knot. Single edged blade with etched to both sides and spine. Presentation inscription in gothic script, “Dem sergeant Peter als besten berittfuhrer der 5 Eskadron Dragoner-Regiments Prinz Karl im Jahre 1899 (Kaiser Mauover)”. Other side of the blade etched with foliage. Blade remains in good condition. The sword knot shows wear and has been repaired in places. Blade measures 80cms in length. Housed in the original steel scabbard with hanging straps and sword belt.
