A very high quality bodice with a high round neckline edged in buckram which is fastened by press studs. The sleeves on the crossover bodice are made in two sections. The first is gathered to elbow length and the bottom half of the sleeves are tapered into a long wrist fastening and secured by a brass sunray buttons. Fully lined 1895/1900. A duck egg blue grosgrain long fitted jacket from the 1880s which has a pointed tailcoat effect to front and back. Fully boned with an insert of gold brocade on the front and original buttons edged in blue stitching. There are two stains on the back and on the front left there are two holes and on the right one. A tobacco coloured rich velvet bodice. The swathed velvet on the front of the garment is secured on the wristband by 2 velvet bows. The garment is boned and features a rich, deep peach insert. The leg o mutton sleeves ae gathered into huge mounds of velvet. The high neck has a large velvet bow at the back and there is one on the waistband. Made by John Cordeau and sons of Clifton. Hook fastenings 1870s. (3)

A good late 18th century George II period mahogany, stop-fluted and boxwood strung bow-fronted hanging corner cupboard with two doors (70cm wide x 105cm high)Condition Report: The doors shut well although at close quarters it is noted that when they are shut there is a tiny, minor vertical gap between the doors due to shrinkage across the grain. The quality of timber looks very good with no splits or major damage apparent from the front elevation. The cornice moulding appears all intact and original as does the base moulding. Good overall order with some general minor knocks and scratches commensurate with age etc.
