A set of six mahogany dining chairs, with bowed top rails, shaped stiles and stuffover seats upholstered in beige velvet type material and raised on sabre legs. CONDITION REPORT: The chairs are generally structurally sound. Two have very slight movement at the rear joints. In our opinion this is not problematic. All back rails have varying degrees of damage or repair. One chair has a loss to the top right hand corner and a repaired fracture to the bottom right hand corner. There are dowel pegs. The splat to another chair has been pegged at the back through the top of the stiles. The same chair has had a broken rear leg. The repair is very visible. But sturdy. The front left leg has a spliced repair. The front right leg has a spliced repair. Chair three has had repair at the top of the stiles where the splat joins. There are stress fractures visible to the front of the bow. Chair four has had a break to the bottom right hand corner of the top rail. Chairs five and six are in generally good order. The upholstery to all chairs is serviceable.
A large late Victorian/Edwardian pond yacht, "Swallow", on stand. Length 158 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a lot of paint missing to one side of the keel whilst the other side retains 90% of its original paint. There are scratches throughout the hull but it would appear to be intact and with no obvious splits or cracks. There would appear to be a small repair to the bow showing remnants of adhesive. The main sail has approx 6 home stitched repairs. The jib sail retaining holes are broken through. Both sails are dirty and have signs of foxing. The main sail has four small holes. There is no notable damage to the boom or mast. The rudder maybe a replacement. There is a fine, although repaired split to the centre aft deck approx 13.5 cm long. Also a 7 cm split along the edge of the centre starboard deck. The stand is rather crude and homemade with various knocks, chips & holes. Advisable to view if possible.
