Brass crossguard with downturn quillon, small langets and stirrup knuckle bow. Brass lion mask pommel and plain backstrap. Brass, ribbed grip. Good early example.

Basically GC (steel parts worn and pitted, one arm of fore sight missing, the stock has been badly fractured and repaired, silver inlay lifting) Plate 1 £250-300
