A late 1950s cotton dress with a full skirt a low A line waist which falls into a lightly gathered skirt. The boat neckline is completely applique in a decorative cording design. The fabric is a floral print in a peacock blue, dep blue and aubergine design dotted with crystal beads. Approx. size 14. The skirt has its own stiff tulle underskirt, and a metal zip closure down the back. A cotton strapless dress, with a boned bodice with a cuff collar. Made by Fredrica, Starke of London. Size 14. The fabric of the dress is 100% cotton, and the pattern is of a white foliage pattern on a caramel-coloured background. The front of the waist has a flat bow. The skirt is pleated in wide pleats. The dress comes with a matching bolero jacket with short sleeves. Approx. 1957-8 (the metal zip has been replaced by a nylon zip).(2)
