It fastens with a tongue and box catch, with a figure-of-eight safety catch, and a safety chain. The pearls measure from 3.2mm to 7.5mm. The pearls are cream coloured. Gross weight 34.0 grams. A similar plaque was sold by Christie`s, New York, 214.09 Pin head sized firing flaw to plaque. Some wear and minor losses to frame. 281014

A Diamond and Seed Pearl Bow Brooch, circa 1930, set throughout with old cut and rose cut diamonds in white millegrain settings, the two bow tails articulated, total estimated diamond weight 2.00 carat approximately, measures 4.4cm by 5.7cm Provenance: with the card of Sir Victor Sassoon, on which is written `In memory of Honeylight`s Guineas`. Honeylight was a racehorse which won The 1000 Guineas in 1958. It was owned by Sir Victor Sassoon. The horse was trained by Yorkshire trainer Captain Charles Elsey, whose wife Eileen was given this brooch following the win The brooch is in good condition. It fasten with a pin and revolver catch. It bears no hallmark, nor stamp, but in our opinion it would test as platinum. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 12.0 grams. Weight 11.9gms. The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Clip fittings for non-pierced ears. Moderate discolouration. The diamonds appear bright and well matched. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. Varying inclusions, some surface reaching.

Weight 8.1gms. Overall condition good. Light surface scratches in keeping with general wear. Diamonds bright and lively, one or two stones with surface reaching inclusions. Pin fitting is loose.

Each designed as a brilliant-cut diamond floral cluster, with vari-cut diamond leaf and bow detail, suspending a detachable brilliant and marquise-cut diamond articulated tassel. Estimated total diamond weight 3.50cts. Length 4cms. Weight 15.7gms. Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches in keeping with general wear. Diamonds individual size and setting prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The diamonds are fairly bright, lively and well matched. Fine feathers and fractures can be seen under magnification. Articulated drop section can be removed. Clip fittings for non-pierced ears.
A diamond bow pendant. The pear-shape rose-cut diamond collet, suspended from a rose-cut diamond line, to the similarly-cut diamond openwork bow surmount and trace-link chain. Length of pendant 5cms. Length of chain 48cms. Total weight 8.2gms. The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Clasp appears replacement, stamped 835, possibly deficient central gem. Chain possible later replacement. Diamonds appear foil back. Spread of principal diamond estimated 1.20cts, which is no indication of the diamond weight. Estimated total diamond spread weight 2cts, which is no indication of the total diamond weight. Individual diamond size and/or setting prevents accurate assessment of colour/clarity grades.

A late 19th century gem and enamel brooch. The pear-shape foil-back garnet, to the split pearl line and green enamel stylised bow surmount. Replacement gems and enamel. Length 4.5cms. Weight 11.7gms. Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. The hinge shows evidence of soft solder repair. The garnet has a fairly bright slightly dark colour, with typical inclusions. The split pearls are fairly well matched with a white to silvery white body colour. The enamel is in good condition.
